beach days
A note to parents on Beach Day:
If possible, please do your best to avoid joining us at the beach on these days. It confuses our campers to see their parents and family. If you are at the beach, they will want to hang out with you. During camp hours, you have placed campers in our care, and we take that seriously. Please trust that we have your child's safety in mind at all times and we have counselor protocol in place for just that reason. If you would like to know what those protocols are, please do not hesitate to contact the Camp Director.

drop off/pick up
Every Wednesday, camp will meet at Tower Rd Beach. Camp runs normal hours, but campers will be dropped off and picked up at Tower Rd park (Tower Rd & Sheridan Rd) on the east end of the upper parking lot. To keep traffic moving, please follow the instructions of the staff on duty and pull up and around as far as possible into the lot.
We will NOT have beach day during the first Wednesday (6/15) due to the Story Bus arriving just for us! Instead we will meet at Greeley School as usual.

camper needs
Campers should come to camp wearing their bathing suits, with a change of clothes packed in a bag. They should also have a snack. If you want to send campers with money for concessions, please put it in a plastic ziplock bag with the camper name on it. Money should be given to the campers counselor.
NOTE TO PARENTS:
Due to Winnetka District rules, counselors are not allowed to apply lotion sunscreen to campers. Sunscreen should be applied by parents BEFORE campers arrive at the beach. We will have spray sunscreen on hand if needed. If campers start to look pink, they will be instructed to put on a shirt for the remainder of the time at camp.
